Ingredients:

  • 1 pouch of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix OR 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 3/4 cup + 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 8 oz boxes of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream + 1 cup for the topping
  • 1 3 oz box of orange flavored jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 1/4 tsp + 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 disposable piping bag with star tip

Directions:

IF DOING THE COOKIE CRUST:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. & spray the inside of an 8-inch springform cheesecake pan with baking spray. Follow the directions on the cookie mix to prepare the batter.
  • Press the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.

IF USING A PRE-MADE CRUST BEGIN HERE:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Mix in 3/4 cup powdered sugar.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the jello with boiling water and whisk until dissolved. Set aside.
  4. Zest the orange and set aside.
  5. Using a standing mixer, whip heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and 1/4 tsp vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  6. Add half of the whipped cream to the cooled jello and whisk until combined.
  7. Fold the remaining whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture onto the crust.
  9. Spread 2 cups of the orange mixture on top.
  10. Add the remaining cream cheese mixture.
  11. Refrigerate overnight to set.
  12. Whip together 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and 1/2 tsp vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  13. Pipe small dollops around the edge of the pie.
  14. Slice and enjoy!
